Redcliffe City Rotary News Vol 59 Issue 10

Presidents Message

STEVE'S SCROLL.....

We could all see the benefits of an active participation in sport at Tuesday's meeting. Joanne Pronk's introduction of Harry Giles told of a passionate commitment to the Masters Games at all levels. His presentation was that enthusiastic it almost tempted me to regain some fitness. But thinking about it caused the onset of sweating, nausea and cramps. As he said, you have to ease yourself back into it. Don't rush it.

The coming Father's day will see you all excused from Calendar duties at the markets.I do not wish to see some of our fathers missing out on breaky in bed. So celebrate socks and jocks day while you can as their is work to be done at the markets from here to Christmas.

September is designated as Vocational Service Month on the Rotary calendar.  DG Eric has many suggestions on how we can make this theme meaningful to Rotarians in his newsletter.

Don't forget to ask your partners for Plum Pudding and Whiskey Cake orders. The order form will circulate again next week. While on next week,  please check with your partners on attending next Tuesday's Charter Anniversary and history evening. A great night for prospective guests to learn of the proud past of our Club.

Let's hope our golf day brings some pleasant golfing weather. Please get behind Chairman Ron and lend support where you can.

your President Steve
